Reindeer Run

Saturday, December 1, 2012 at Lake Harriet in Southwest Minneapolis (Google Maps Map & Directions).

Race day registration, pre-registered race # and commemorative item pick-up, ( a t-shirt for 5k or for the Kids 1/2 mile it's a Rudolph the reindeer plush toy or other item that is yet to be determined) and the race start and finish areas are all located near the band shell on the Northwest side of the lake.

Race starts with Santa's hearty "Ho Ho Ho Go!" are:

• Kids 1/2 Mile - 9:10 a.m. (age 8 & under)
• 5K Run  -  9:30 a.m. 
• 5K walk  - 9:40 a.m. (and those with well-behaved leashed dogs & strollers) 

Gold's Gym Reindeer Run race route is a USA Track & Field certified 5K and is the Most Fun 5K & Kids 1/2 mile running events South of the North Pole!

Join us for a wonderful event.

Location:  At the big tent in what's normally the parking lot and is between the band shell and W. Lake Harriet Parkway.

At the big tent located next to the band shell on the NW side of Lake Harriet. Kids K (a 1K for ages 8 & under) must be registered before their 9:10 a.m. start. 5K runners & walkers can register up to 9:20 a.m.

U.S. Marine Corps Reserves will have trucks in the lot next to the Larke Harriet band shell and large registration tent. Bring a new toy for a child in need. Please do not gift wrap toys. Toys for infants and teens are always needed.

An out and back run or walk for kids age 8 & under.  Parents are encouraged to go with their kids and they must keep their children within eye sight the entire event.

Runners start at 9:30 a.m.  Those walking, those with young children or children in strollers or those with leashed & well behaved dogs start at 9:40 a.m.
